The library catalogue will be unavailable on Monday 15th September. You will not be able to search for books, request or renew books online on that day, books can still be renewed over the phone or in libraries. Take the Team Read Challenge
The summer holidays are approaching fast and once again we will be running our famous Summer Reading Challenge. This year the theme is sport and the challenge is The Big Team Read. Children are encouraged to read six books through the summer holidays and win a series of rewards as they go along. Everyone who completes the challenge and reads all six books wins a special medal and a certificate which will be sent to their school. There are loads of exciting sporting activities taking place at our larger libraries, and a fantastic Team Read Book Quiz for 0 - 12 year olds. Think you know a bit about books? You could win a special Team Read sports bag and up to £25 in Halo vouchers. There are 144 prizes up for grabs, so pick up a quiz sheet at your local library and get reading!
Our Libraries
Herefordshire Libraries has ten libraries throughout the county that range from small village libraries to the central city library in Hereford. We also have two new mobile libraries with low floors to enable easy access.
We offer an exciting range of services from loans of books, DVDs and CDs and Playstation games and free internet access to an ever changing programme of adult and children's events, regular storytimes and baby bounce and rhyme sessions and reading groups.
Any book on the library catalogue can be requested free of charge and delivered to any library or the mobile library, giving you access to much more than what is in your local library. Click on the search our catalogue link in the right hand menu to find and request books.
